Halfway along Dales Gorge, between Circular Pool and Fortescue Falls, the gorge widens into a series of gentle cascading waterfalls that gracefully make their way back down to the deeper and quieter pools that provide cool swimming spots for hikers trekking through the heat of the gorge. The towering rock ledges overhang the track and provide much needed shade. The grasses and small native shrubs thrive along the watercourse.
